The earnings report sets the tone for how the stock will trade the rest of the quarter. Often times, the momentum from a big earnings beat/guidance raise will carry over for the entire quarter (into the next earnings report). This is my favorite time to trade stocks because you have a fundamental catalyst, momentum, and volume.
